Playtime with Jay & Chris

Monday morning we went up to Gennie's house to play with Jay and Chris. Gennie got out the finger paints - what a good mom - I don't even have finger paints because of the mess they make!

Chris got to paint too! He wanted to eat the paint - yucky!!

Then we all went up to the mall. We played in the play area and then walked around. We found out that there is no height or weight limit for the bungee jumping on the trampoline so all the boys took a turn! Check out the video of Ollie below - he really went for it!

Chris even jumped really high!

Jay jumped for a bit but then got a little scared. Oh well, maybe next time.

Splash City

On Saturday morning we went to see "Papa Great". He was so happy to see Ollie! Ollie told him all about the shark movie that we watched in the park and he gave him a hug and a kiss and then we headed to Papa's house. Papa and Grandma Pati have Mason & Megan for the weekend.

Sooo, we all went to Splash City in Collinsville! It was cloudy in the morning and the water was cold but it was still fun. It did not rain at all while we were there and there were not very many people there so there were no lines and you could always keep an eye on your children even if you weren't in the water.

Megan tried out the slide. I was told that Ollie went down the slide 3 times while I went to get my camera but he wouldn't go down again!

Megan liked the water splashing down on her! I saw her do this a few times.

They even have a nice sand box for the kids to play in with lots of buckets and shovels for everyone.

Olives & Sharks

Tuesday evening, Ollie, Erin & I went to eat at the Olive Garden. Ollie likes the olives!

Wednesday evening we went to Maw Maw's for dinner and then Ollie rode his new bike on the bike trail. He did way better than I thought he would! He rode for at least 20 min straight! I didn't take any pics because I was trying to stay as close to him a possible! He knows how the brakes work when he is going slow and we are just practicing but when he is going too fast down a hill he just throws his legs straight out and yells "MOMMY!!"

Friday night we went to the movie in the park. They were playing Jaws. Probably not the best idea when you have a 3 year old. He understands more than I thought he would. He kept saying "what happend to that girl? or where's that girl?" Well the shark ate her, she's in his tummy. Finally we started telling him that she went to the dr. and is all better and he accepted that answer thank goodness!

Here are some pics while we were waiting for the movie. It was a late night, the movie didn't start until 8:45. We watched a little over an hour of the movie and then headed home.

Happy 3rd Birthday Ollie!!!

Today was Ollie's 3rd birthday! I can't believe he is three years old!

We started the day off with presents! Linda, my fabulous co-worker, sent 4 bags of presents for Ollie! She spoils him. Although I only gave him 3 of her 4 in the morning. You will see why later!


Ollie got a new big boy bike from Mommy & Daddy and a new batman blanket to take to school for naps!

Linda got him more batman toys and a scooby doo doll in a red rain coat and a scooby doo book! Thanks Linda!

Later my friend Andrea stopped by with her 3 little boys! They are in town for a few days from Champaign, IL. In the swings are Ty & Levi. They are 16 mos old. So cute!

We ordered pizza for lunch. Four little boys sitting at the kitchen table. There were alot of boys in my house today - Tyler & Christopher were downstairs. The pizza did not last very long!

After pizza we had batman birthday cake!

After nap time, we tried out the new bike! Ollie rode down the street to the court and rode around down there where it is flat! There is a video below of him riding his bike!

After showers, it was time to open the 4th present from Linda. Can you guess what it was???

Another batman outfit!!! See why we had to wait until later in the day. Otherwise he would have worn this all day and it was too hot today for long sleeves & pants!

Becky & Kathryn jumping in! Speaking of Kathryn jumping in. We were all out of the pool later on and I was completely dry but still in my swimsuit with my cover up and sandals on. Kathryn runs and jumps right in the pool with NO floaties on. Becky tried to grab her but she was just out of reach. I tried to kick off my sandals but only got one off before I jumped in and grabbed her! When I got out I realized that w/o thinking I must have ripped my cover-up right off because it was laying in a pile on the deck. It was pretty scary but I didn't even think just jumped right in after her!

I'm still holding Ty & Ollie! Thanks to everyone who came for a fabulous birthday party! We love you all!!! You made Ollie's 3rd birthday memorable!

Saturday & Sunday

We kidnapped Maw Maw on Saturday and brought her to our house so she didn't have to spend the whole day by herself at her house. Ollie and Maw Maw are watching the new Batman movie with Mr. Freeze & the polar bears that Maw Maw & Papa Stu bought for Ollie.

Later in the evening we went to Fritz for icecream. Ollie had to try Tyler's after his baby cone was gone because Tyler had M&M's in his!

Before the big batman party got started we gave Papa our present for him. His birthday is not until Aug 6th but we got him baseball tickets for the Aug 1st game. We are all going to go together.

I think he likes them!
