Memorial Day Pool Party!

Yesterday was the Memorial Day Pool Party at Aunt Barb's & Uncle Larry's. We took donuts to Maw Maw's house in the morning because Papa Stu got in late Friday night and Ollie was excited to see him. While Maw Maw was cutting watermelon Ollie stole a big piece and walked off with it! Once Maw Maw noticed she had him take it outside to finish it off. It was dripping everywhere!

Ollie did very well in the pool. It took him a few minutes and then he was jumping in and going down the slide and have a great time.

Ivy took a dip in a baby bathtub in her swimsuit!

Then she got in the big pool for a little bit! I think she may have slept through the whole thing.

Maw Maw brought 4 big water shooters, that may have been a mistake everyone was shooting everyone it didn't matter if you had a shooter in your hand or not!

Time for a little break and some lunch/dinner.

Back to the pool!

Slippin & Slidin

What a beautiful day it was yesterday! We spent the day at home and had a mini BBQ. Papa was working at Aunt Erin's house with Uncle Kevin. They were staining the deck. So we BBQ'd some pork steaks and brats for lunch and they all came over. It was so hot outside so we decided to get out the slip n slide! Ollie was so much better at it this year than last year. He actually played on it for over 45min and then went back later in the evening for more!

Poor Bella wanted to join in the fun but she couldn't get there. Just a little out of her fence line. Although we did that on purpose so she wouldn't put a hole on the slide.

Ollie made sure to get a running head start!

Kite Festival & Swimming

Saturday morning we went to the kite festival at Woodlands Sports Park. Ollie knew just where is Batman kite was from last year but we had to rig it up with some of their supplies. We didn't have string or a plastic bar. Once it was ready Tyler got it to go up and soon it was the highest kite there!

Ollie wanted to take a turn holding the kite but that only lasts for a few minutes.

Aunt Erin and Ivy came to check out the kites too! Ivy slept through everything.

There was a snack truck and for $1 you get a can of soda, bag of chips and a hot dog. Ollie just wanted more cheetos so he got a dollar and headed over. The older man working there remembered that he liked cheetos and then they gave him a hot dog and let him pick a soda. He came running back with all that stuff and said "they gave me anything I wanted!"

While Tyler and I were trying to reel in my kite Ollie was flying the Batman kite. Our kites were up so high it took at least 15 min to get them back down. Crazy!

After the kite festival we had some lunch at Aunt Erin's and then home for a nap. After dinner Ollie and I headed to Maw Maw's house and Ollie played in the wading pool for quite awhile. Maw Maw had his Batman toys in there for him to play with.

Then Maw Maw had the bright idea to get the big water gun stick out. Pretty soon her whole deck was wet! I think we should take this to Aunt Barb's pool party and accidently leave it there!

Friday evening

This evening Maw Maw picked Ollie up at school and they came back to our house. Maw Maw & Ollie trimmed the bushes by our front window. Maw Maw said Ollie had a great time trimming and then he found lots of rollie pollies and thought those were very cool! While we were eating dinner Ollie heard some kids playing at the park and ran over to play with them. There were three boys about 8 or 9 years old. Maw Maw and I sat on the back porch and watched them play. Then it was time for them to go home and Ollie was a little sad that they had to leave but he soon forgot when Maw Maw started to hose off his red truck. Now it's Ollie's turn!

You better take that hose away before you get sprayed again Maw Maw!

Ollie got this sticky yellow bee type bug in the mail from Papa Stu. He has had it since Ivy was born but he must have just found it again the other day. So he threw it up at the ceiling and it stuck for just a second and then fell back down. Well he thought that was pretty funny so he threw it up there again and it stuck for good (until Mommy had to get it down). Here is Ollie trying to reach it.

Here is jumped off the end of the couch and is flying threw the air to try and pull the bee down.

Aunt Erin Graduates

Erin graduated with her Master's degree tonight. First we all met at the Little Hills Winery for an early dinner.

Aunt Erin got some nice gifts. Charms for her charm bracelet, a new bracelet and a frame for her diploma!

She also got this talking cup which Ollie really liked!


I believe Erin is the second person about to walk up the stairs with the light blue sash.



Now she is just getting off the stage on the left side at the bottom of the stairs.
