Maw Maw's back home!

Here's Ivy trying out her new bumbo. She looks like such a big girl sitting up in there!

Maw Maw got back in town late Wednesday night. Ollie could not wait to show her how to play his DS.

Maw Maw got addicted to Lego Batman too!

Later that evening Ollie wanted to stay the night with Maw Maw. It kind of took me by surprise but I think he did that last time she got into town too. He needed to get his Maw Maw fix.

4 Year Old Check-Up

Today Ollie had his 4 year old well exam. Ollie knows when he goes to the Dr. he has to get shots so I don't let him know that is where we are going until we are on the way. Ollie weighs 38lbs and is 42inches tall. He is in the 75% for weight and 85% for height and perfectly healthy! That's what we like to hear! Ollie tried is best to talk the nurse out of giving him the shots but he ended up getting 2 anyway. But then he got 2 bandaids and 2 stickers! When we left we picked up a pizza for dinner and went to Fritz to eat our dessert first. Ollie liked this idea and I had promised him ice cream if he had to get shots.

A weekend at home...

It's been awhile since we've had a whole weekend at home. Several time throughout the weekend Ollie has played his DS. Saturday morning we got up and got Ollie's haircut then had to make a trip to Wal-Mart. The DS was very handy in both of those places! Saturday afternoon we went to an aquatic park called Alligator Creek in O'Fallon. It was so much fun and cheap! They have a nice play area for little ones and the water only goes to 3ft so Ollie could touch the whole time. There was a blue tube water slide and a lazy river that is only 3ft as well. Lots of fun! It was perfect because it was so hot out yesterday.

This morning we went on a walk/bike ride to the park with Becky & Kathryn. When we got home Daddy was putting up the new ceiling fan in Ollie's bedroom. That took a few hours and in the meantime Ollie found a big piece of styrofoam and tore it to shreds in our kitchen. Here is a pic of him after he had sucked most of it up with the vacuum.

Happy Birthday Ollie!!!

Yesterday when we got home there was another box in the mail for Ollie from Grandma & Grandpa Ames and inside was a Woody doll!

Then Grandma & Grandpa Toussaint came over with Cloe. They brought Ollie some presents too - soccer shoes & shin guards and...

A Batman Build-A-Bear!!! "Batman Bear"

Ollie & Papa were having a balloon fight!

Cloe got a chance to hold Ivy.

Still fighting!

Batman Bear was a big hit. Ollie & Batman Bear watched a Batman cartoon and then Batman Bear went to sleep with Ollie.

Today is Ollie's 4th birthday!!! Ollie took cupcakes to school and had a Power Rangers party with his friends. When we got home there was yet another box from Grandma & Grandpa Ames. This is the 4th piece of mail Ollie has gotten from them in the past 6 days!

It's a Buzz Lightyear!

Ollie got to pick what we had for dinner and he picked McDonald's and he wanted to eat outside and play. When we got home we had some cupcakes for dessert and then it was time for presents!

Ollie got a Nintendo DS!!! He said "yes a DS!"

Aunt Erin got him the Lego Batman game. He has been playing it all evening long!

Hulk Birthday

The Hulk birthday party was a success!! It started off scary because it rained all morning until about 12:00. Finally the rain stopped and we were able to dry everything off outside and it turned out to be a great day for a pool party! Here's a pic of Ollie's ice cream cake!

Ollie couldn't wait for the party to open his present from Aunt Erin. The box was so cool, it looked like the bat mobile! Ollie had a great time playing with the box!

Ollie got some Batman Underoos that glow in the dark. He had to put those on right away. Thankfully I was able to talk him into putting his swimming trunks on before everyone got there!

Two of Ollie's buddies from daycare came to help celebrate his birthday! Malik & Nathan. Malik and Ollie had the same Lego Batman trunks on. If you remember back in December when I took Ollie and Malik to Monkey Joe's they were both wearing the same Batman Hat & Gloves! They are two of a kind!

Malik was very excited about the Batman helicopter he got for Ollie!

Tyler gave Ollie ALL of his old army men. They were a hit!

Ollie got lots of good gifts. He got some new superhero books from John & Paula and an Optimus Prime Transformer from Papa & Grandma Pati! He also got some money for Monkey Joe's from Kathryn and a spiderman guy from Nathan! I'm sure there are a few things I am leaving out but Thanks everyone for your gifts!

Malik & Nathan sporting their Hulk & Iron Man masks!

Time for Cake!!

Ollie had been waiting all day to get that Hulk topper off the cake!

Is my tongue green?

Of course there were watergun fights!

After awhile the kiddos took turns jumping in to Aunt Erin and swimming back to the ladder without their wings!

Demolition Derby!

This morning we started off by taking something back to Kohl's. Ollie stood in the corner of the dressing room. He thought this corner was silly. Then he wanted to spend one of his three dollars that he got for his birthday already. We went to the dollar store and he picked out some silly toy. Not worth a dollar but Ollie thinks it is and that is all that matters.

This evening we went to the Lincoln County Fair to see the demolition derby. It was so hot and the seats were all in the direct sun. Then the derby did not start on time (1 1/2 hours late actually) so Ollie and I went to ride some rides while Daddy saved our spot on the bleachers.

Then we came back when the sun started to go down and watched one part of the derby from start to finish. Ollie thought it was very loud. One car lost the whole wheel and Ollie looked a bit worried for that car. The cars were spitting up mud into the crowd and Chris said "It's Lincoln County they love it!"

While we were getting ready to leave the fair we saw a guy juggling while standing on a board with a cylinder under it. We stopped to watch. Ollie liked this guy he said we can stay here a little while.

So here he is enjoying the juggling show while chugging down a sno-cone. When we finally got back to our car the battery was dead so Daddy had to go find someone with jumper cables. Thank goodness he found someone quickly. Ollie was worried that someone had hit our car like the derby cars and that was why it wouldn't work but we explained the battery was just dead. He's such a little worry wort - I wonder where he gets that from?
