Newport Beach

On Sunday we drove out to Newport Beach. We found a little bar called Sharkeez to eat lunch. Ollie liked looking at the Sharks hanging from the ceiling. It was very loud in there but it was fun!
Then we walked down the pier. It was Ollie's first time seeing the ocean.

Lots of people were fishing at the end of the pier and they caught lots of little fish. One guy caught a fish while Ollie and another little girl were looking in his bucket. When he put the new fish in the fish flopped around so much that lots of water came flying out of the bucket and hit Ollie and the little girl. They got fish water all over them! Ollie backed up real fast and then said "water". That's all he would say, it was pretty funny.

Then we had to check out the sand and water! The water was so cold. Ollie did not really like getting his feet wet. One time the water came at us from the left side and we were not expecting it. I had to pick Ollie up by one arm and carry him away from all the water. His pants still got a little wet.

Ollie wants Daddy to see the beach with him.

Aunt Erin found an old, busted sand castle bucket in a dumpster and cleaned it out in the ocean. We all had a blast making sandcastles!

Stu took the sand bucket out to get more water in it so it would stay together better.

We all had so much fun at the beach but had to leave quickly to get back to the cars before we got a ticket. Unfortunately we were a little too late!
After the beach we went to Stu's sister's house. Ann lives in Newport Beach and has a big, beautiful house. She was a really nice lady and had toys for Ollie to play with while we were there. She didn't seem to mind him running around her living room.
