Streets of Passau, Germany

Höllgasse, Art alley. The street is full of artisan shops. They have samples of their art work strung across the narrow streets.

Höllgasse is also referred to as the “Street of Hell”. This name was given to this street because it is so close to the river. It continually floods. You can see water marks indicating the height of the flood on some of the buildings.

Wittelsbach Fountain

St Stephen’s Cathedral - baroque church with white towers and blue-green domes. The ornately interior holds an exceptional treasure: the biggest cathedral organ in the world with 17,974 pipes and 233 registers.

The organ area is under construction. Apparently the church’s are are always under construction as soon as they get through with one area it’s time to start on another.
