Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!! Ollie was so fun this year! If you can't tell he was Elmo! The pic below is of Ollie and Jay. Jay wanted to be a soccer ball and nothing else so his mommy made his costume! Great costume Ginny!
While we were trick-or-treating we saw a firetruck down at the park. Of course we had to go and check it out. The firemen were handing candy out at the park. Ollie talked to them so much that they decided to let him sit in the truck!

We finally caught up with Katherine and Andrew around 8:15. They are all so cute in their costumes!!!

Ollie brought home so much candy and of course he had to try it all out when we got home! And the Elmo costume had to come off right away! It was a great night for trick-or-treating. I bet it did not get under 55. Ollie was getting pretty hot in that furry outfit.

Papa's Last Day of Work!

Today was my Dad's last day of work. He is retiring! We all met for lunch and then his work was having a party for him at the City Hall. In between lunch and the party we came back to my house to give him his presents.

Erin and I bought a tree and plaque that was planted in the park behind my house. This tree was cloned from a big oak tree behind the City Hall that died of old age a few years ago. There are only 4 or 5 of these trees in the world so this is a big deal for them to let us plant this tree for him.
My mom also made him a blanket made out of old "Olde Tyme Picnic" t-shirts. It turned out really well.

Jack-O-Lanterns!

This evening Aunt Erin came over and we carved our pumpkins! Ollie had a great time! Here are some pics of Ollie carving his first pumpkin!

It took awhile but he finally wanted to put his hands in the pumpkin and take the goop out.

Ollie was a little scared of the jack-o-lanterns at first but he finally came around!

You can't see them in the pics but Ollie's pumpkin has "scars". He got ahold of the knife when no one was looking and started "carving" his pumpkin himself. He just kept stabbing it over & over again.

Halloween Carnival!

I'm not sure why these pics went on in the wrong order but oh well! Today we went to Papa's house after Sunday School. Charla brought Amelia over to play for awhile and Ollie was nice enough to let her use his jacket but then he got cold too so he got to use Papa's jacket! What are good little sharer!

Last night when we got home from the Halloween Carnival, Ollie wanted to help Daddy & Duke work in the garage. So he got all of his tools and off he went!

After Ollie's nap yesterday we went to the Halloween Carnival at the Rec-Plex. Ollie got to wear his Elmo costume. He was running all around so it was too hot to wear his hood. Here he is taking a break on the bleachers!

They had lots of games to play for candy and prizes. Most of the games were a little too hard for Ollie but every kid that played at least got a piece of candy.

Pumpkin Patch!

Today we went to the pumpkin patch! Ollie had a great time petting the animals. They had cows, donkeys, sheep, chickens, and a peacock!

There were lots of photo opportunities! Ollie is just so cute!

Aunt Erin rode the pony express train with Ollie!

Here we are waiting in line to ride the ponies!

I think we got the same pony as last time. Her name is Sugar. Yehaw Cowboy!

Ollie has to play on the tractors!

Ollie don't poke the pony in the eye! He didn't but that was only because I told him not too. He got so close to his eye that the pony shut it so Ollie couldn't poke him, yikes!

Happy Birthday Maggie!

This morning I just had to take a picture of Ollie. He looked like a little man. All dressed up for Sunday School!
This afternoon we went to Maggie's 3rd birthday party!

Ollie drove Paige and Maggie around in the pink car!
They all had a great time teeter-tottering!

There was also a clown at Maggie's party! Can you guess who the clown is?
It's Maggie's MawMaw, Mary!
The clown is a good face painter!

Aunt Erin bought Maggie's princess cake!

Ollie got a dragon painted on his face! According to Ollie dragons stomp their feet alot!

Ollie is riding a stuffed unicorn in this video. He was running around saying "he haw, he haw, he haw, boy!" this means Ye Haw Cowboy!

Duck Hunting

Chris and Duke have been working on their duck hunting boat. These pics really don't give it justice. It looks like snuffleupagus! There is prairie grass all over it.
The kids think it is a great place to play and hide though!
Katherine and Andrew came over the other evening and they all had to play in the boat for a little while. They had a great time. I'm sure Chris & Duke didn't mind!
