Great Skate

Yesterday we had to get out of the house so Becky and I took the kids to Great Skate. It was a disaster until Becky thought to ask for slower moving skates. The boy behind the counter was very nice and checked some of the skates for slower ones. When we went back out they were able to skate around without us holding on to them or their walker/skater things! We found out Greak Skate has lessons on Saturday mornings that you can just show up to and then you can stay and skate during the first session. We might try that some time because I have no idea how to teach him to skate.

Happy Birthday Erin & Tyler!

On Sunday we celebrated Aunt Erin's birthday and Tyler's birthday! We all met at Erin's and they opened presents before we went to eat.

He got some gift cards, I-Tunes, Microsoft points and a gift card to buy a new game that came out later this week.

This is for Tyler to hang his Tae Kwon Do belts on.

Aunt Erin got some gift cards, dip bowls, gloves, socks & nail polish!

Ivy's not sure about wearing the sunglasses!
We all went to eat at Olive Garden and then headed back to Erin's for cookie cake!
Kevin & Chris are trying to teach Ivy to walk! She's got the standing part down but she just does not want to move her feet!

January Birthdays

Today we headed to Jerseyville to celebrate the January birthdays. Happy Birthday Uncle Lester, Uncle Mike, Krista & Tyler! Ollie could not wait to get there so he could fight with Uncle Lester! Uncle Lester & Uncle Brad were out at Wal-mart when we got there so Aunt Debbie filled in to fight with Ollie.

Is that Spiderman? No ... it's Aunt Marcie!

Can you believe Tyler is going to be 16 year old???

Snow, Snow & More Snow!

This is what we woke up to Thursday morning! Thank goodness Daddy was home this week. We had to dig our way out of our driveway. We had at least 8 inches and it was still snowing! We ended up getting about 10 inches total. Ollie took full advantage of us shoveling. He played in the snow for a good 20 minutes while we were trying to get our cars out of the driveway.

As soon as we got home Thursday evening we put on our snow gear and went out back to play! Ollie had a good time sledding down the little hill into our neighbor's yard. He kept telling me to go again so the sled track would be longer!

Ollie's making a snow angel.

You can also make snow angels on your tummy!

We are supposed to get another 1-3 inches tomorrow.

Swim Class!

Ollie has swim class on Tuesday nights at the local YMCA. He loves it! The class is small so they all get a lot of swim time. He must really like his teacher, Mr. Kyle, because I can hear Ollie's little voice talking pretty much the whole time!

The first week of 2011!

We had a fun & busy first week of the year. Ollie started swimming classes at the Y on Tuesday evenings. He had a great time! There are only 3 kids in his class so he gets a lot of swim time. Thursday evening I picked Ollie & his Buddy, Malik up from school and took them to Planet Fun! Those boys are two of a kind and they play very well together!

Ollie was very excited that Malik got to come back to his house for a little bit before his Mommy came to pick him up.

Daddy came home Friday evening with a big prize for Ollie! Scooby Dooby Doo! He is bigger than Ollie. Ollie drags him from room to room where ever he is. I don't know why Chris thought this was a good idea - he is huge!

Saturday we watched Ivy while Aunt Erin had a swim meet and Uncle Kevin had hockey to ref. Ollie & Ivy played ball together for awhile in the morning. After lunch I noticed Ivy had a fever and she was whiney and you could tell she was uncomfortable. I gave her some Ibuprofen and we took a little nap. When she woke up she smiled at me and clapped. I checked her temp again and it was gone! She was so happy to feel better - what a sweetheart.

Happy New Year!

New Years Day 2011! Papa & Grandma Pati came over to deliver my new server for the dining room! Ollie shows off the toys he got from Santa and was very excited about the giant box that came with the server. Papa cut some windows in it and Ollie's skinny little self and climb through them! I wish I would have gotten a pic of that!

Beautiful! It matches perfectly!

Today Ollie talked me into building another Batcave with his legos. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
