New Years Eve 2010!!!

Lots of excitement today! Aunt Erin & Ivy came over in the morning. Ollie & Aunt Erin played Ollie's DS while mommy worked on getting Ivy to take a nap. Just as it was time for Ivy to go she fell asleep and then the tornado sirens went off so they had to stay awhile longer.

When the weather cleared up we went to.... Chuck E. Cheese's! We went with our friends, Becky, Andrew & Kathryn! Ollie had so much fun. There were not too many people there so he got to run around and play games and come back for more tokens every so often. He thought he was so big! Mommy was watching to take a few pics of course!

He also got to see Chuck E. Cheese in person! Although he didn't want to take a pic with him.

When we got home Aunt Teresa and Beth were there. They brought me a beautiful scarf that Teresa knitted and some Spiderman body wash/shampoo for Ollie! Ollie had a good time showing his toys to cousin Beth. It was almost 70 degrees out today but rainy & cloudy. When Aunt Teresa left Ollie helped Daddy take down some of the Christmas lights.

Then time to get cleaned up and get the party started!!! Ollie had a good time with the confetti shooters!

And he's out! Not actually. This was just before 6pm. We had to wake him up for dinner and to have a toast with the "party drink" sparkling grape juice. Ollie had a 15 min nap and now he is rearing to go! He just came down for more "party juice" and Daddy added some OJ to it to make it taste better. What a nice NYE. We are going to just relax at home and be together and hopefully be asleep by midnight!

More presents?!?

The other night Aunt Erin & Ivy came over with more presents for Ollie. Aunt Patti sent a box to Erin's house for Ollie & Ivy. You'll never guess what Ollie got!

A Kiss figure!!! Where does she find these things? Ollie loved it - he still says he wants to be Kiss when he grows up! Crazy kid!


He got another DS game from Aunt Erin & Uncle Kevin - the Super Hero Squad game!

Merry Christmas!

After Ollie went to bed so easy on Christmas Eve I thought for sure he would be up early but we almost had to wake him up. He finally started moving around 8am. The first thing he said when he saw me was "Mommy I went to sleep!" He knew he had to go to sleep for Christmas to come. Ollie was so much fun. He wanted to play with everything right when he opened it. We could have been there all day if we didn't push him along. Every once in awhile he would say "I didn't get my joker cave or penguin submarine." I told him he better start opening more presents to see if they were there! Maw Maw & Papa Stu came over to watch Ollie open Santa's presents. Like I said we had to push him along because we were supposed to meet Erin, Kevin & Ivy and Maw Maw's house at 9:00. We were a little late! The theme for this Christmas was definitely Iron Man. Although there were lots of other Super Herio toys too!

Daddy got some camo seat covers for his truck. He loves them! I got a ruby necklace - it is Ollie's birthstone and it is beautiful!

The Joker Cave!!!!

We finally made it to Maw Maw's and the Thurston's were already there.

Ivy wasn't sure what was going on but she knew it was exciting!

Ollie got a treasure box with 3 costumes - Spiderman, Wolverine & Iron Man!

He put Spiderman on right away!

Maw Maw got a soda maker. She can make her own soda! I hope it works - could save them lots of money!

Finally the penguin submarine!!!

Ivy got a gate. I'm sure she won't always be excited about that!

Papa Stu got some Lakers tickets! Maw Maw is now a Lakers fan!

We were able to go home and let Ollie play with his toys for a bit before we went to Aunt Barb's. Ollie took his Wolverine costume with him.

Ollie got a Spongebob domino game from Aunt Barb & Uncle Larry. Aunt Barb made up jars of her favorite game 4,5,6 and included nickles. Everyone always forgets their nickels. We didn't even play the game this time :(

With a face like that who wouldn't be Santa's Favorite?

Time for the gift exchange. There were actually two magic balls - can you believe it?

Papa Stu and Maw Maw won matching hats with fake hair!

We picked up Tyler on our way home. Santa left presents under our tree for him too! He got a Halo Legends movie, Zombie Survival Guide book, X-Box game and a new shirt. Some other things too. He made out pretty well.

Ollie was ready to go when we got home so we had to play for a bit before bed. I wish I had gotten to be earlier. Ollie was sick with the "throw ups" 3 times. We ended up sleeping on his bed on just the mattress and blankets from around the house. At least we made it through Christmas before he got sick. I didn't fell well all day on Sunday either. Feeling better today but still a little nauseous.

Sunday Tyler "helped" Ollie put together his Batman Legos. What a good big brother!
