Oscar's Baptism & First Birthday Party!!!

Oscar was baptized this morning. He did a really good job! He only let out a few cries.

It was also Palm Sunday so the Sunday School kids paraded through the church with palm leaves.

After the baptism we had Oscar's first birthday party!

He wasn't sure what to do with that huge popcorn cake!
He seems to like his new chair!

What a great day!  I can't believe that little guy is already 1!!!!

Fire Pit Friday, Clean Stream & Carnival

We have kind of started a new tradition on our street. Fire Pit Friday.  When it is nice outside the kids run and play while the adults sit around the fire and chat.  Everyone has a blast!

Saturday morning we went to Clean Stream with the Cub Scouts. We got the field and road by the recycle center.  We picked up a lot of trash!

Saturday afternoon we went to the Hawthorn carnival.  The boys had a great time playing the games and winning awesome (Mcdonald's toy) prizes :)  This is Talen, Oliver & Landon

Spring Campout

The first weekend in April was the Spring Campout.  Of Course, it got below freezing both nights.  The kids will get a freezout badge.

Sat morning Chris made bagel sandwiches and pancakes!

Fishing Saturday morning.  Chris caught a large mouth bass.  All of the kids were so excited because it had teeth!  I wish I would have gotten a picture. After he caught that fish, Oliver finally wanted to fish too!

The boys are making fruit cobblers.

How many guys does it take to start a camp fire?

That's our orange tent in the background.  Sunday morning we hung around someone else's fire before we packed up.

Oliver had such a great time playing with friends all weekend long!

Harriet Tubman

So, remember the Harriet Tubman book Oliver was so interested in? Well, come to find out, he was working on a power point project in school about Harriet Tubman. His teacher invited all the parents to come to class to check out their power points. He was so proud of himself!
One Sunday afternoon we went over to Aunt Teresa's for  a BBQ and to help clean out her garage.  Oliver & Zach have such a great time together.  They look like little teenagers lounging on the couch playing Xbox!

Spring Break In CA!!!

Tuesday, March 11th. Right after work Papa picked us all up and drove us to the airport. We were ready to see Maw Maw & Papa Stu. Little did we know that our STL flight would have to turn around due to a mechanical issue and by the time we finally got to Denver we were 2 hours late for our connecting flight to Ontario. So, Southwest got us a hotel and a new flight first thing Wednesday morning. It was crazy! We did not have anything we needed. We were out of diapers & formula. We got to our hotel after 1am. We had to leave for the Denver airport at 6:30am. Geeze!
As soon as we got to CA on Wed we went straight to Pretend City! The kids had a great time!

Oliver loved the ATM!  It spit out pretend money!

Ivy got sick but we thought it was from all the travel.  Thursday morning Erin & I took Oliver & Ivy up to Big Bear to go skiing!  We put the kids in a 2 hour ski school and went skiing ourselves!

Then we went down the bunny hill a few times with the kids before leaving for lunch.

We had fun but on the way down the mountain Erin got sick :(
Friday morning, Maw Maw was sick, so we took the kids to see Papa Stu at work.  They love riding the forklift!

Then we played at the park.  It was a beautiful day!

When we got back to Mom's house, I got sick.  Erin took the pic below. Don't they look like little angels?
We had to head back home on Saturday.  Guess what? Stu got sick Friday night.  The only two that didn't get sick were Oliver & Oscar.  Stinkers!  Thank goodness they did not get sick on the way home.  It was great to see Mawmaw & Papa Stu but we were glad to get back.
