Cabin Fever

So we have been confined to our house since Saturday. Oliver had a stomach bug on Saturday. Thank goodness it was only lasted 12-15 hours. Then on Sunday we had blizzard conditions in the STL area. We got about 11 inches of snow and the temps began dropping. Today the high is -3. The daycare decided to close down due to the cold & blowing snow. So Oliver and I stayed home another day. We have watched two movies this morning and had lunch on the couch. Then we just couldn't sit anymore so we got all dressed up to go out for a little bit of sledding. Oliver thinks it is fun to go down on his feet.  Show off! 

I think it took us longer to get all dressed up than it did for us to play.  It was cold out there!

Oliver is gathering 4 cups of snow before we go in so we can make snow ice cream.

Snow ice cream: 4 cups of snow, 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of sugar & 1 tbsp. of vanilla

Now we are back inside for the rest of the day...again.

New Years Eve

On New Year's Eve we rang in the New Year at Aunt Erin's house. Lori brought over her Karaoke machine and the kids had a blast singing their favorite songs! We all made it to midnight and went outside to blow some noise makers. put off a couple fireworks and bang some pots & pans and then we headed home.  Ready for 2014! 

After Christmas

Ivy & Oliver spent the night with Maw Maw & Papa Stu for their last night in town.

During the rest of Christmas break Oliver loved playing with his friends at day care.  But one day Aunt Erin picked him up and took him to the City Museum!  What fun!

Christmas Day!

Finally Christmas morning! Oliver has been waiting for this all year! Bella loved the bone Oliver picked out for him!!!

Oliver got a new robe which he would not take off for the next 2 days :)

He also got a new couch/bed for his playroom!

After we opened presents at our house we snuck over to Maw Maw's while they were at Aunt Erin's and put up the new shelf that Chris built for her then went back home until it was time to go back at 9:30.  We were done with Christmas at our house by 7am!

Oscar loved playing with the bows on all the presents this year.

Of course after Maw Maw's house we headed to Aunt Barb's for the rest of Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve!

We started off Christmas Eve meeting at Club Fitness for a Spinning class. Then we came back to our house to decorate some giant gingerbread men!

Later in the afternoon we headed over to Papa's house!

 

We had to wait for Chris to get there after work so while we were waiting to open all those presents we made lots of Jibjab videos!

 

Finally it is time to open presents!

Oliver picked out special gifts for Oscar &Ivy just from him.  Oscar got a batman & joker cars and Ivy got a mermaid!

Happy 40th Birthday Chris/Daddy!!!

Daddy turned 40 this year, so we had a family get together at our house the Sunday after Cookie Day. It was a busy weekend but we go to see most of our family! All the Toussaint's were here!

Ivy & Oscar had their pic taken with Santa.  This is a pretty good pic next year Oscar might not be so willing.

We had our Toussaint Christmas on the Sunday before Christmas.  Oliver made out pretty good with some Lego Chima Hero Factory guys, a black Easy Bake Oven & and Crayola Melt & Mold!  He was melting crayons and making cookies at the same time when we got home that night.

Cookie Day 2013

There was about  6-7 inches of snow on the ground when we woke up cookie day morning.  I went out around 6:15am and shoveled the driveway and walkway.  Good thing too because all of our family still came despite the snow!  Little did they know they would be stuck here until the snow plow came.  But it came around 3pm so all was well :)

We wore Oscar out with the baking & decorating!
