Ivy's 2nd Birthday!

Today is Ivy's 2nd birthday!!! We met at Paul's donuts this morning and Ivy had a sprinkle long john to start off her big day!!!

Papa, Ollie, Megan & Mason swam in the pool while we were setting up!  They had a great time!  Good thing too because soon after everyone else arrived it started to rain, thunder and lightning so everyone had to get out.  Bummer!

Go STL Half Marathon!!!

Sunday, April 15, 2012 Erin and I left my house at 5:30am to head downtown for the GO STL Half Marathon! It was crazy! We could barely even get into our corral. We had to open up a barrier just to get in.

It is time to get this race started!!!  Our goal is to finish with an overall pace of less than a 10 min mile.

This is about the middle of the race while we were running past Union Station. I got pretty tired by the 8th mile, while Erin was just getting into a groove!  Thank goodness she was there!

And we finished 13.1 miles in 2:07:06!!!!  That is about a 9:42 min/mile!!!  We made our goal!!! We had a lot of support at the finish line... Dad, Mom, Chris, Ollie, Kevin, Ivy & John were all there to congratulate us!!!  Afterward we got home and showered we went out to eat at Red Lobster and even had dessert to celebrate!!!  Now we get to relax a bit, but we will have to start training again in September to get ready for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon!!!

I took today off because Erin was off work and Mom is home. We took the kids to the arch! Ollie loved it and we had such a great time!
