There was alot of talk about a blizzard coming through the St. Louis area. We were supposed to get ice first and then about 20-22 inches of snow. It was so bad on Tuesday that hardly anyone went to work and we closed down our office at 12:00pm. I picked up Ollie and headed straight home to ride out the storm. Daddy came home a few hours later. Ollie was going crazy being all couped up so we went out to play in the snow. It was really 5 inches of sleet - it was not snow at all.
Ollie & Bella had a great time! They fought over the only stick they could find in the front yard. Needless to say Bella won every time.
Andrew & Kathryn came over and we all went sledding down the little hill in our backyard. The kids had so much fun and it was nice to get out of the house for a bit.
We did not end up getting dumped on. We had about 5-7 inches when it was all said and done but like I said it was not really snow - mostly ice & sleet. Thursday evening Erin came over to pick Ollie up so I could go to dinner with some girlfriends. Since the plow came the night before all the snow from the street was in a mound in front of our driveway. Her car got stuck - and stuck good! I tried pushing it but it wouldn't budge. Becky came over with her kids and watched Ollie & Ivy while we tried to dig her car out. We finally got it to back up a bit but then it got stuck again! This time it was mostly in the street. One lady from down the street tried to help and my friend, April had shown up for dinner and tried to help. Kevin showed up after work and then more neighbors from down the street came over. We were really putting on a show. Finally with 7 people pushing the car and one driving it we got the car back on the road. Talk about CRAZY!!!
