1st Day of Second Grade!!!

Today is Oliver's first day of second grade.  Man where does the time go?  He seems so big!  His teacher is Miss Benfatto.  It is her first year teaching.  I hope that means she is driven and really wants to prove herself :)  we all have to start somewhere right?  Cheers to a good year!

Happy 61st Birthday Papa!!!

Papa and Grandma Pati stayed at the Hollywood Casino for 2 nights over Papa's birthday.  They came over for dinner the night before.  We all went out to Lonestar and then came back to our house for Pumpkin Pie! 

15 Year Reunion

Sat, August 3rd was my 15 yr high school reunion at Hamburger Mary's downtown. It was such a fun night. Great time catching up with friends. In this pic from left to right is Kendra Horton, Jen Guber, Mandy Morrison, Me & Abby Mayginnes.

Happy 7th Birthday Oliver!!!

Oliver woke up on his birthday and wanted donuts and a crazy orange mohawk! So we sprayed his hair orange and met Aunt Erin, Ivy & Oscar at Paul's for breakfast!

In the afternoon we went to Papa's for a family pool party! Oliver got the Star Wars and Lone Ranger Legos he was wanting, a Furby and an iPod!!!

Wednesday night Erin, Kevin, Me & Chris went to Behind the Pines for Karaoke night.  We had a great time!  We closed them down.

The guys are playing Frisbee.  A shark swam by a few times and Chris was patting the water trying to get it to come closer.  Crazy!  Then 4 dolphins swam by and scared the shark away.  Very cool.

On our last night there, Chris went out to the beach to find his fishing lures and he literally tripped over a giant sea turtle!  We all ran down to the beach to see it.  We had taken pics when Chris read that sea turtles are protected and we shouldn't be shining lights at them.  So we all headed in.  But I was not going to get rid of the 2 pics I had already taken. 

The conservation people drove by in the morning and moved all the eggs (117 of them) up higher on the beach and taped them off so people would not bother them.  How cool it that?!?  It was like we were live in an animal planet show!
