Happy 60th Aunt Barb!!!

Today is my Aunt Barb's 60th birthday! We all met at McGurk's in Soulard for a surprise party! Thanks to Kyle for having a tv in his phone! It kept the kids busy for a little while.
Until they started to fight over who got to hold it!

Aunt Barb was surprised to see everyone! She thought she was just meeting Jill, Chris, Kyle and the grandkids!

Ollie and Vivy picked out their very own table in a quiet corner! They were on a date! Hey, I think that's allowed, their not first cousins, I think they are 2nd cousins! That's ok right? Ha Ha!

Chris kept the kids busy for awhile! But they still wanted to run around the table most of the time! Thank goodness it was not that crowded!

Caught Red-Handed!

Yesterday we had our Christmas Party at work so I took a cookie cake. Well there was so much food that only one piece was eaten out of the cookie cake so I brought it home. I put it up on the kitchen counter and then ran upstairs for a minute. When I came back down this is what I saw....Ollie on the floor with the cookie cake, eating the icing off of it!
What mom? I'm not doing anything!

Santa Claus!

I finally got a picture with Santa! Tonight we took Ollie to Bass Pro to see Santa. There was no line at all, we just walked right up to him. It took awhile but we finally got Ollie to sit on his lap. He was still a little nervous. He never did talk to him. Oh well, maybe next year!

Bass Pro was right up Ollie's alley. He got to shoot some guns at targets. One of Santa's elves helped Ollie "Pow some ducks"!

Then Ollie ran through the whole store. We saw everything! Of course he stopped running to see the big fish swimming in the tank. While Maw Maw was in line to buy something I took Ollie back to the entrance to see the huge stuffed bear. Ollie was scared of the bear because he looks so real, come to find out he used to be real! Ollie finally pet the bear but only after I did. When we walked outside there was kettle corn cooking and Ollie yelled "popcorn"! So we had to get some for him. Then he said "hurry! bear want my popcorn!" We had to hurry up to leave so the bear would not eat Ollie's popcorn! It was a pretty fun night!

Bachelorette Party!

Yesterday we had a bachelorette party for my mom. It was pretty low key, we all hung out at her house starting at 7pm. So I had to get Ollie to bed there by 7. So...I took Ollie to Monkey Joe's for 2 hours yesterday afternoon during naptime and then tickled him the whole way hom to keep him awake.
He was pretty tired at Monkey Joe's and wanted to go home but I got him an ice cream and then he was all better and ready to play! He did go to sleep at 6:45 but he kept waking up in mom's bed so we finally had to go home at 1am and he slept the rest of the night. I think he was having a hard time being away from home since we spent Friday night at Papa's house and Daddy was out of town this weekend.

Aunt Patti, Aunt Barb, Laurie, Erin and I were all there! We played the Sex and the City Trivia game for a little while. And of course we had plenty of drinks.

After the game, Mom opened her presents. She got some lingerie and some his and hers jelly! Pretty funny!

We were going to play another game but we all got to talking and just didn't stop! We had a great time! Lots of laughing and catching up!
Congrats Mom & Stu!

Home Improvement!

We have been renovating our kitchen for 2 years now and finally have the final piece! Well, now I might need a new, long kitchen table! We got a new counter to match our other counters! It was Chris' and mine's birthday and christmas presents from my parents and Grandpa.
Almost two years ago we knocked out the wall between the kitchen and then dining room to make one big kitchen and put in ceramic tile. Chris built us a new pantry with double doors! We had the ceiling repainted.

Last Christmas we bougt a new double oven stove!

Here is a close up of our new counters! Now we have more cabinets and drawers and not enough stuff to put in them, I'm sure we can fix that!

A couple of weeks ago, Chris built me a beautiful dark cherry shelf that I put my Grandma's black glass on in the dining room. The dining room is still a work in progress but will get done someday! One room at a time!
By the way, today is Chris' birthday! Happy 35th Chris!!
