Olde Tyme Picnic Weekend!

Here is Ollie with Papa at Papa's last Olde Tyme Picnic! No special treatment next year...Papa will be retired! Below is Ollie, Maggie and Samantha - they are eagerly waiting the parade!
Ollie and Maggie just found out that some people throw candy to kids at a parade!
Here is the mosquito truck that Ollie keeps talking about! And...Larry is actually driving the truck!
Aunt Erin and Maggie are watching the parade. If you look close you can see Baby Chris in the stroller, he just hung out back there and took everything in!

Ollie rode the dragon roller coaster! Just once though because Papa found out that it came off the tracks later. Yikes...we wouldn't want that to happen with Ollie on there!
At home, after the parade, Tyler helped entertain the kiddos!

Then Papa and Ollie took a nap while Mommy, Aunt Erin and Maw Maw went to run some errands.
When Ollie woke up he played with Papa and Grandma Pati until Mommy got home. Can you find Ollie? He is such a good hider!
Then back to the picnic! Ollie got to ride a ferris wheel for the first time...he loved being up "airplane high"!


Then we all rode the Dizzy Dragon! Ollie and little Jay liked this one and no one got sick!

What a day...it is now 11:15 and Ollie is still running around. Now I get to go and try to get him to bed. Wish me luck, he is pretty wired!

Ollie Got Mail!!

Today when we got home there was a package on the front porch for Ollie!
Grandma & Grandpa Toussaint sent Ollie a yellow rain coat, more swimming trunks and a shirt to match and a cute little shorts outfit! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!!
Ollie had such a good time taking the clothes out of the box that he decided to put them back in!
Then we went outside and had a Popsicle! What a day!

Concert in the Park

Tonight we went to a concert in the park...it was at the Gazebo where Aunt Erin is going to get married! Ollie liked to listen to the music and he would clap when everyone else did, but, of course he had to have other things to do to keep him busy too! He was mowing the grass and then decided that the flower bed needed to be cut as well! Sorry Papa!!
He liked playing with his cars on the sidewalk too.
But once he found the pond it was all over. We kept bringing him back up to the chairs and he would run back down to the water. He would try to be sneaky like he was just going to cut the grass on the other side of the sidewalk and when he thought we were not watching he would make a bee line for the water - what a little stinker! Good thing Mommy was on to him!
Maw maw showed him how to get a drink out of the drinking fountain. This was almost more fun than playing by the pond!

Haircut!!

I decided that it was time for Ollie to get his summer haircut today. It was kids day at Fantastic Sam's so I packed up Ollie's cup, crayons, coloring book and a few other toys because I just knew it would be crowded. But surprise! We only had to wait 10 minutes!! Ollie found a little car that someone else had left and he played with that during his haircut. Ollie did such a good job while she used the clippers and then the scissors! Much better than last time; Daddy and Mommy had to take turns holding him last time. I think the secret is to NOT take Daddy with us!
Since Ollie was such a rock star getting his haircut I decided to take him to Wal-Mart to pick out his very own cars (he had to leave the other one at Fantastic Sam's). It was a hard decision but Ollie finally picked out two cars that he wanted to take home!

Monday Night

A lady from my work had this giant Mighty Mouse doll and she decided that Ollie needed to have it. So today Mighty Mouse was sitting in my chair at work when I got there. Of course I had to bring him home. Ollie thinks he is Mickey Mouse - oh well a mouse is a mouse! This thing is pretty much as big as he is but Ollie thought it was pretty fun! He decided to sit on him to watch t.v.A week ago I went on Craigslist for the first time and ended up finding a beautiful dining room table with six chairs. I got a great deal so I bought it the same day. I immediately went home and posted an ad on Craigslist for our old table and we received several calls and e-mails but no one ever called back to get directions to come pick it up until today! So, I finally got to put the new table in the dining room! Ollie thinks it is pretty cool too! He had to sit there to eat a cracker and he did not want to leave so I left him in there for a minute or two by himself and he finally came looking for me, who knew that a new table would be exciting for him!
