Oliver's First Baseball Game

Friday night was Oliver's first baseball game. His team name is the Panthers! Here he is warming up before the game!

At his second turn at bat he got his first hit!!!  He made it to first base and another teammate ran to home.  He had his first RBI!!! He was so proud of himself!

More Oscar Pics!

Big Sister & Big Cousin meet Oscar for the first time!

It's Papa's turn to hold Oscar!

Oliver just loves to hold babies.  It is the only time he is still!

Oscar Ruben Thurston

Erin's water broke at 5pm on Saturday 4/20/13. We all met her in her hospital room around 6:30pm. We hung out and played gin and watched tv for a long time. Finally it was time for the dr at 3:30 am. We left the room and went down the hall to a waiting room. We heard him crying a little after 3:40! He was born at 3:42 am and weighed 9 lb 12 oz and was 21.5 inches long!!! What a long night but it was worth it he is such a cutie!!! I got home around 5:30am. Oliver couldn't wait to see pics. We took him up to the hospital later in the afternoon to meet his new cousin. More pics to follow.

TV Station & Busch Wildlife

The Cub Scouts had a Go See It to The St Peters TV Station. They loved the green screen!

On Friday, the 19th, the first graders went on a field trip to Busch Wildlife. They got to scoop "goop" out of the pond, go on a hike and learn about metamorphosis! They had a great time!

All Pack Campout

This weekend was the All Pack Campout at Cuivre River State Park. It was Friday and Saturday night but we got there Saturday afternoon after Chris got home from work. When we got there Ollie's Den was on a hike so we used that time to get set up. Oliver noticed that our tent was smaller than everyone elses but it was big enough for all 3 of us to sleep in so it served it's purpose.

The boys are about to make their own marshmallow guns.  They are getting instructions on making the guns and how to be safe with them.  Absolutely no pointing to the head!

Conner, Oliver & Gavin are listening intently.
Alright they are ready!

Time to hunt some zombies!

Chris was in charge of the fires.  He was gathering more dry wood to get the dinner fire going.

Oliver had roasted hot dogs for dinner and of course there were smores after dark.  Good stuff!

I have to admit it was a good trip.  We all had a good time and sleeping in a tent wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be!
